Yes, there will be physiotherapy available from 11:30 to 17:00
IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET TO THE FINCA DEL GALATZÓ BY CAR?
No. The organisers will provide buses to transport the athletes to the start of the race.
K21 and K42 athletes can be taken by private cars but they won’t be able to enter the estate, which is controlled by Local Police.
The bus stop to leave for the race on Sunday is located at C. Jacinto Benavente, Paguera (there are toilets). The bus is free for registered athletes and guests. Please check the agenda for the timetable.
Buses will leave runners at the entrance so runners will have to walk 2000 metres to get to the starting point.
IS THERE A BUS SERVICE FOR FAMILIES?
Yes, there’s a bus service for families. The buses to get there are the same as the buses for the runners. Buses for guests will leave for the finishing point at 10.30.
WHAT IS THE PASTA PARTY AND AT WHAT TIME IS IT?
The Pasta Party takes place from 13.00 to 16.00 courtesy of the Paguera and Cala Fornells Hotel Association. It is a lunch to which all the athletes are invited in the spirit of K42.
Price for guests: €8 for 18 years and over and €4 for under 18s. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance.
IS THERE A CLOAKROOM AT THE STARTING POINT OF K42 AND K21?
Yes, there’s a cloakroom service at the starting point. In your runner’s Bag you’ll find a white plastic bag and a tag so your items can be easily identified.
WHAT KIT IS OBLIGATORY?
For K42 the obligatory kit is a Thermal Blanket and a camelback backpack or flask (minimum 250cc).
For K21 the obligatory kit is a Thermal Blanket and a camelback backpack or flask (minimum 250cc).
Due to the weather conditions it is also recommended to bring a mobile phone and a windbreaker. It will be very cold at high altitudes.
IS A MOBILE PHONE OBLIGATORY?
A mobile phone isn’t obligatory but it is recommended.

If you get lost it will be extremely helpful.
This year’s weather conditions indicate that there will be fog, which increases the chances of getting lost.
WHERE CAN I DROP OUT DURING THE EVENT?
It is advisable to drop out of the event at the refreshment or timekeeping points and ALWAYS notify a drop out by calling the emergency phone number: +34657821705
ARE THERE SHOWERS AT THE EVENT?
There are showers at Paguera’s municipal pools, close to the finish area.
ARE THERE ACTIVITES FOR CHILDREN AT THE FINISH AREA?
Yes, thanks to the Council there will be activities for children from 11.00 at the finish area.
Thanks to Paguera Hotel Association there will also be Batucada (Latin music) at the finish area.
WHEN CAN I COLLECT THE BIB?
Bibs need to be collected in person on the days indicated in the event agenda. Bibs cannot be collected on Sunday, the day of the event.
It is possible to collect a bib on behalf of another person on presentation of their DNI and affiliation document, if they are affiliated.
If you are not affiliated your insurance payments must be up to date.
DO I HAVE TO BE AFFILIATED TO RUN IN THE EVENT?
Yes. Athletes will not be allowed to run without presenting their affiliation document or without having paid event insurance. If you are not affiliated, please contact us before the 10th on email@example.com.
ARE THERE CUT-OFF POINTS?
Yes, there are cut-off points. Runners are given 8 hours and 30 minutes to complete the event.
The cut-off points are as follows:
Cruce Sa Coma d’en Vidal before ascending Esclop: 12:45
Cruce Sa Coma d’en Vidal after descending Esclop: 13:35
Cruce de Ses Planes before ascending: 14:15
Cruce de Ses Planes after descending: 15:30
WHAT REFRESHMENTS WILL THERE BE?
There will be the following refreshment points during the race
9.05 KM Cima Galatzó (minimum: hydration point, water)
13.5 KM Boal de Ses Serveres
23.9 KM Route turning Ses Planes Ascent
29.6 KM Route turning Ses Planes Descent
35 KM Stream exit to MV103
40 KM Arrival at the Santa Ponça walkway in Paguera
The Galatzó refreshment point will only have basic refreshments due to restricted access to the area.
WHAT IS THE BRIEFING AND IS IT OBLIGATORY?
The briefing is a meeting in which all the technical details of the event are explained. It is obligatory to go to this briefing/technical meeting. If you are unable to attend the briefing, the notes will be made available on the web page and it is obligatory to read them.
The briefing will take place in the Casal conference room at 18.30. In the event that attendance exceeds the maximum capacity, there will be another briefing held at 19.15.
WHERE ARE THE GIFTS AND FINISHER PRIZES COLLECTED?
Finisher medals and t-shirts are handed out at the finish area. Prizes are awarded on Saturday at 16.00 at the finish area.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO WEAR A BIB HOLDER?
Yes, it is possible to wear a bib holder. The bib must always be worn at the front. They can’t be worn on a backpack.
ARE THERE BATHROOMS AT THE START POINT AND FINISH AREA?
Yes, there are bathrooms at the start and finishing points and also at the bus stop to the event.
IF I DROP OUT ARE THERE VEHICLES TO TAKE ME TO THE FINISHING LINE?
There are no vehicles to take people who have dropped out to the finishing line. It is advised to take a mobile phone to be able to call family or friends so they can come and collect you. The organisers won’t be able to accompany anybody to the finish line.
